Burundi boasts an ideal coffee-growing terrain, spread across central and northern areas. Dominated by hills and mountains, the country features significant altitude variations, from the lowest point at the lake (772 meters above sea level) to Mount Heha’s peak (2670 meters). These hills, known as “collines,” provide the perfect environment for coffee, predominantly of the old Bourbon variety.
